AliaTerran History

AliaTerra began in 1986 with a passion for dance. Based first in New York City and then in Paris, I worked for five years as a dance photographer and critic, publishing in The New York Times, The Village Voice, New York Newsday, DanceMagazine, The Advocate, and many other magazines and newspapers. Bolero

St. Sebastian In 1991, tired of always being outside, critizing art after it was made, I moved to Hollywood to be involved with projects from the beginning. I quickly became an Assistant Director, organizing and problem-solving under pressure, working closely with directors and cinematographers. Unfortunately, Hollywood is much more about making money than movies, and so, after 3 years of moviemaking, I turned to computers.

Not that AliaTerra is all work. Or rather, I can always find ways to bring play into the picture.
